WaapiCS and Work With Me

Short post for you today friends, just want to update you on a few things.

New, Free Product

Today marks the initial release of WaapiCS – a C# framework to make Audiokinetic Wwise’s Authoring API much easier to use.  You can read about it today on blog.audiokinetic.com

WaapiCS is intended to bridge the gap and make WAAPI usable to non-programmers or novice C# programmers.  Many studios today have a hard enough time finding audio programmers, and said programmer’s time is often taken up fixing bugs and creating new in-engine features instead of workflow tools.  With WaapiCS, creating custom tools sets for you sound design team is something a technical sound designer or audio implementer with basic C# knowledge can do.

WaapiCS is free, open source, and available for commercial use under the MIT License (meaning you only need to provide attribution to use or customize it to your liking).

Work With Me

For many months now I’ve been working with the wonderful audio team at 343 Industries.  That period of time is now coming to a close (totally amicably – don’t worry!)

Therefore, I’m looking to take on one new client.

If during your game development cycle you’ve thought something like

“It would be so amazing if only we had a tool that could <your great idea>…”

Then you and I definitely need to get on a Skype call together – you’re looking to work with me and don’t know it yet.

You can find out more information about what I do, the tools I’ve built, and how I can help bring massive positive change to your team’s workflow by going to ineedadam.com
